Jan 5 - Titans v Cobras, Centurion: A third-wicket partnership of 76 between Aviwe Mgijima (54, above) and JP Duminy (41) enabled the WSB Cape Cobras to achieve a four-wicket victory over the Multiply Titans.

Duminy and Jason Smith added 41 for the fourth-wicket, before Smith was bowled by Tabraiz Shamsi (above) in the 32nd over. Shamsi also claimed the wickets of Duminy & Carlos Koyana to finish with 3-55.

Earlier, Heinrich Klaasen (above) and Protea allrounder Farhaan Behardien injected some enthusiasm into a faltering Titans innings with a third-wicket partnership of 43.

The Titans' innings never got off the ground, as they were restricted to 212 for nine. Dane Paterson (above) was the best of the Cobras attack with three for 38; Wayne Parnell, Mthiwekhaya Nabe and George Linde weighed in with two apiece.

Jan 5 - Knights v Lions, Kimberley: The VKB Knights and bizhub Highveld Lions played to a dramatic tie. The Knights were asked to bat first and amassed 272-8 in their alloted 50 overs. David Miller (above) led the charge with a sublime 57.

A slight stutter in the batting order saw the Knights slip to 159-6, before Marchant de Lange hammered six maximums en route to his maiden List A fifty (above).

Bowling-wise, Hardus Viljoen (2-43) and Beuran Hendricks (2-46) led the charge, while the left-arm spin of Bjorn Fortuin (above) proved miserly as he claimed 1-32 in his 10 overs.

In reply, Duanne Olivier (above right) removed both Stephen Cook and Reeza Hendricks in his first two overs, before a 112 run third wicket stand between Dominic Hendricks and Rassie van der Dussen got the Lions back on track.

Hendricks was undone by Eddie Leie for 50 which triggered a mini collapse for the visitors. Dwaine Pretorius (41, above) and Bjorn Fortuin (35) fired the Lions up once more, before Hardus Viljoen nearly pulled off the impossible, hammering four fours and two sixes in a sublime unbeaten 45 off 22 balls.

Jan 5: Warriors v Dolphins, Port Elizabeth: Leg-spinner Imran Tahir (above) took a five-wicket haul as the Hollywoodbets Dolphins collected their second win of the campaign by beating the Warriors by 79 runs.

Captain Jon-Jon Smuts (45 not out, above) fought a lone battle. The Proteas star, Tahir, finished with the excellent figures of five for 21 in 8.3 overs as the home side was rolled in less than 40 overs.

Middle-order batsman Cody Chetty (above) compiled an unbeaten half-century as the Dolphins posted 250 for nine.
